How to Engage with Content Leaders
Questions: Our learning sessions are most beneficial to you and your colleagues when you ask questions. Whether you leverage the mobile app or simply raise your hand, please speak up when something is unclear or nuanced. There are two locations to ask questions via our mobile app:
Evaluations: At the conclusion of each learning session, please locate the session within the USFN mobile app. After tapping on the session name, a page will appear with the session details and five (5) stars at the top. Use our simple 5-star rating (1=low quality, 5=high quality) to share instant feedback about the session. Tap on the stars to turn them gray - this submits your session evaluation to us and helps us make improvements for next time and share kudos with our presenters. A complete event evaluation will be sent via email AFTER Forum concludes. Speakers can also be rated from one (1) to five (5) stars.
A special THANK YOU to our presenters for their time, energy and expertise!
You can learn more about our presenters on our Speakers page.
- Chatroom: On the main mobile app homepage with the image tiles, go to the Chatroom to ask general questions, participate in ongoing discussions and engage with other attendees, presenters and staff.
- Session Chatroom: Within each session or function, click into the item to see more details; under the five-star rating, you'll see "Info", "My Notes", "Who's Going" and "Chatroom" - these chatrooms are specific to each session. Feel free to drop questions ahead of time into the sessions and presenters will see them.

Opening Night Dinner, Entertainment & Community Project (Wednesday, 6:00 pm): Enjoy a variety of Charlotte and North Carolina's signature dishes and refreshments and participate in exciting challenges such as a build-your-own paper airplane toss, a golf chipping contest, and plinko. Plus, engage in a community service project building backpack kits for Classroom Central, benefiting Charlotte-area schools. The night will continue with lively entertainment from our dueling piano performers starting at 7pm. See you there!
DEI Lounge: Visit with members of the DEI section near registration, access resources, pick up a pride lanyard, a button to share your pronouns and learn about the section's ongoing work.
Pubs Display: Learn about USFN’s array of publications and resources - with committee members available Wednesday to answer questions about publications, subscriptions, advertising, and writing.
Networking breaks: Throughout the conference we’ve scheduled a number of short networking breaks. Check email or voicemail, grab something to drink or tag up with other conference attendees while enjoying the down time.
Volunteer opportunities: Be the first person to greet attendees upon arrival or into a session. Giving a little time during the conference to supporting the event helps ensure a successful conference and puts you in front of as many new people as you can handle!
