How to Engage with Content Leaders
Questions: Our learning sessions are most beneficial to you and your colleagues when you ask questions. Whether you leverage the mobile app or simply raise your hand, please speak up when something is unclear or nuanced. There are two locations to ask questions via our mobile app:
  • Chatroom: On the main mobile app homepage with the image tiles, go to the Chatroom to ask general questions, participate in ongoing discussions and engage with other attendees, presenters and staff.
  • Session Chatroom: Within each session or function, click into the item to see more details; under the five-star rating, you'll see "Info", "My Notes", "Who's Going" and "Chatroom" - these chatrooms are specific to each session. Feel free to drop questions ahead of time into the sessions and presenters will see them.

Evaluations: At the conclusion of each learning session, please locate the session within the USFN mobile app. After tapping on the session name, a page will appear with the session details and five (5) stars at the top. Use our simple 5-star rating (1=low quality, 5=high quality) to share instant feedback about the session. Tap on the stars to turn them gray - this submits your session evaluation to us and helps us make improvements for next time and share kudos with our presenters. A complete event evaluation will be sent via email AFTER Forum concludes. Speakers can also be rated from one (1) to five (5) stars.

A special THANK YOU to our presenters for their time, energy and expertise!
You can learn more about our presenters on our Speakers page.

Networking Events
We consistently hear from you that networking is an important element of USFN events. Be sure to take full advantage of the following networking opportunities in Charlotte:

See who’s coming: Attendees can access the list of who's coming to Forum in the mobile app under the "Attendees" tile. Locate someone on the list you want to connect with, click their name, then the "Actions" button in the upper right to Send Connection Request or Add To Favorites.

Ambassador Program: If you signed up to be apart of the Ambassador Program during registration, a member of the DEI Section will be in touch with you prior to the conference to match you up with your mentor/mentee and to share with you recommended next steps.

First-Time Attendees Orientation (Wednesday, 3:00 pm): Gather with other first-time attendees to learn all that USFNdustry Forum offers and how to make the most of your experience.

USFNclusion Reception (Wednesday, 5:30 pm):
This reception is hosted by the DEI Section as a welcoming space for conference attendees from historically underrepresented groups. During this meet and greet, Section leadership will share a brief update about its current initiatives, and then walk together to the Opening Night Dinner, Entertainment & Community Project. Whether you’re reconnecting with long-time friends or meeting industry colleagues for the first time, this is a great way to kick-off your conference experience.

Opening Night Dinner, Entertainment & Community Project (Wednesday, 6:00 pm): Enjoy a variety of Charlotte and North Carolina's signature dishes and refreshments and participate in exciting challenges such as a build-your-own paper airplane toss, a golf chipping contest, and plinko. Plus, engage in a community service project building backpack kits for Classroom Central, benefiting Charlotte-area schools. The night will continue with lively entertainment from our dueling piano performers starting at 7pm. See you there!

DEI Lounge: Visit with members of the DEI section near registration, access resources, pick up a pride lanyard, a button to share your pronouns and learn about the section's ongoing work.

Pubs Display: Learn about USFN’s array of publications and resources - with committee members available Wednesday to answer questions about publications, subscriptions, advertising, and writing.

Networking breaks: Throughout the conference we’ve scheduled a number of short networking breaks. Check email or voicemail, grab something to drink or tag up with other conference attendees while enjoying the down time.

Volunteer opportunities: Be the first person to greet attendees upon arrival or into a session. Giving a little time during the conference to supporting the event helps ensure a successful conference and puts you in front of as many new people as you can handle! Sign up for one of our available slots using our online sign-up form.

Afterglow (Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 pm): End the evening in the hotel bar, mingling with other attendees while reflecting on the day’s events over your favorite beverage. [Please note: Conference attendees are on their own for any food and beverage expenses incurred during the Afterfglow.]

Downtown Charlotte Morning Walk/Run (Thursday, 6:00 am): Get ready to kickstart your day with an invigorating run through the beautiful city of Charlotte! Starting from the Marriott City Center, you'll have the option to run or walk along a scenic 3-mile route that will take you on a journey through some of Charlotte's most famous landmarks. So, lace up your sneakers, enjoy the fresh morning air, and join us for a delightful run through the heart of Charlotte.

*MORE ON NASCAR HALL OF FAME - Thursday, 6:00 PM

As a registered USFNdustry Forum attendee, we’re providing transportation to and from the NASCAR Hall of Fame for a few hours Thursday evening. We will meet in the main hotel lobby at 5:30 p.m.; casual attire is encouraged.

The night kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with a reception in the Great Hall where you can enjoy drinks and delicious food while mingling with other guests. At 7:00 PM, you'll have access to the museum and all its activities, including one-of-a-kind interactive exhibits and virtual racing simulators. Test your skills as a pit crew member in the Pit Crew Challenge, where you'll change a tire and fuel a car against the clock or explore the Science of Speed exhibit, which delves into the physics of racing and the technology that makes it all possible. Walk through the Hall of Honor and learn about the sport's most iconic figures.

This event is perfect for car enthusiasts, sports fans, or anyone looking for a unique and memorable night out. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to experience the NASCAR Hall of Fame like never before.

Starting at 8:15 p.m. and every fifteen minutes thereafter, our motor coach will begin returning guests to the hotel. The last shuttle departs the Hall of Fame at 9:15 p.m.

This event is included free for registered USFNdustry attendees. If you would like to bring a guest for this memorable night, guest tickets may be purchased at registration. If you have already registered and would like to purchase additional guest tickets, please email [email protected].
