Important CLE Information

Based upon application requirements, those states for which members typically seek CLE, and registered attendee requests up to 30 days prior to the event, USFN will apply for CLE in the following states for the Legal Issues Seminar only (Friday, July 14, 2023). Please note: Based upon the planning committee recommendation, USFN is not seeking CLE for the Compliance Seminar (Thursday, July 13, 2023).

                       AL | CA | CT | FL | GA | HI | IL | IN | IA | KS | KY | MS | MO | NJ | NM | NV | NC | OH | OK | PA | TN | TX

Provider Applications
After June 13, 2023, USFN is not able to submit applications for CLE in other states. Most states require a minimum of 30 days (but some can require as many as 60 days) prior to the program to receive and process provider applications.

Attorney Applications
Some states do allow attorneys to apply directly to the appropriate MCLE Bar, Board, or Commission for CLE in a shorter timeframe, including post-event. Should you need appropriate supporting paperwork to complete an application to a state for which USFN has not already applied (or for the Compliance Seminar portion of the two-day program), please contact the USFN team at [email protected] for help with your request.

Registration & Payment
During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to add and pay for ($75/state) the states for which USFN has submitted CLE applications. Should you need to modify your current registration to add one or more of the states listed above, please send an email to [email protected] or stop by the onsite USFN Registration Desk for assistance.

Pending Approvals
Most but not all states usually grant CLE approval prior to the event. Those states that have neither been approved or denied CLE at the time of the event will be listed as “pending approval” on the Certificate of Attendance, along with the anticipated credits.

Refunds
USFN cannot guarantee CLE credit will be approved in every state for which an application is submitted. Every jurisdiction's requirements and review processes are different. Should you have paid for any states that are subsequently not approved, USFN will refund the CLE portion of your registration only. To request a refund, please email [email protected].

Certificate of Attendance
Onsite at the USFN Registration Desk, be sure to pick up a blank Certificate of Attendance for each state in which you’re seeking CLE. You must complete a separate certificate for each state in which you are required to file.

Alphanumeric Codes
During each of the general session panels on Friday, July 14, 2023, two different alphanumeric codes will be embedded in the PowerPoint slide deck – one near the beginning and one near the end. Be sure to capture all 10 of these codes and record them on your Certificate(s) of Attendance throughout the day. This process replaces the sign-in sheets we’d previously layout at the USFN Registration Desk.

Post-event
Before you depart, fill out and sign the balance of your Certificate(s) of Attendance. Completed forms may be turned in at the USFN Registration Desk. USFN recommends taking a photo of each form prior to submission for your records.

Deadline
Should you forget to turn in your Certificate(s) of Attendance before you depart the hotel, simply return any completed certificates to [email protected] no later than Friday, July 21, 2023, at 5 PM CT. As a reminder: You must complete a separate certificate for each state in which you are required to file and incomplete/illegible forms cannot be processed.

Attendance Reporting
Each Certificate of Attendance should be filed with the appropriate MCLE Bar(s), Board(s), or Commission(s) within 30 days of activity. Rules for CLE in some states require USFN to file attendance with the regulator as a service to lawyers; however, other states require the lawyers to do so. Please confirm jurisdictional reporting requirements with your state regulator.

Questions
Should you have any questions about CLE, please email them to [email protected] or stop by the USFN Registration Desk.
